hi folks anyone going to Coledale from Canberra, just for the weekend? We're so excited that finally we can take our great margaret to Coledale although she has been before when known as Astor Leisure Line. I'm thinking of dressing in vintage clothes, thought of a dress from 2nd WW but van only 47 years old so maybe something a bit newer. Children are very embarrassed by me but hope that they can get together with the other kids and talk about how embarrassing their parents are all together. bye for now

For those who are interested, just spoke to the Ulladulla Tourist Park to confirm our booking for the tour and they told me that they have six (6) onsuite sites still available so if you wish to upgrade your booking give tham a call. Don't know why these sites are now available when Reddo was told something different - doesn't matter. Beer is in the fridge, Chev has had an oil change, couple of spare undies - we are ready to go!! Looking forward to the tour - you bet, 15 more sleeps ;D ;D

For everyone on the East Coast Tour Not sure if any of you will be interested in going to the movies whilst in town? But as we are going to be in Ulladulla for 2 nights I have spoken to the owner of the Arcadia Twin Cinemas re: getting a group discount if we want to go. He will sell us books of 5 tickets at $44.00 ($8.80 each) instead of $60.00, so that's a saving of more than 25%. The movies he expects to have on at that time are:- Stardust Evan Almighty Rush Hour 3 Hairspray Death of a Funeral We can talk futher, once on the tour. Kind regards Diane

Movies, pop corn, rolling jaffas down the aisle .... yup almost as much fun as the other past time spent in the back row while ya spose ta be watchin the picture . Will run it past the troops at Uladulla. Chippy Dave has also offered to open up his weekender an have a pizza and DVD night at Uladulla if we wanna. Something else that might make this tour an action packed event is BUSHFIRES . Just been watching the news and there is fires breaking out all down the coast . Gunna be interesting if we get cut off getting down from Goulbourn to Nelligen.... or anywhere else for that matter. There aint too many detours we can take between each nights booked stopovers. Ocean on one side.. mountain on the other. Ummmmmmm its times like this i sweat about towing a TIMBER VAN full of metho, kero and gas: Betta pack more "foaming agents" like Tooheys, VB and rum ;D ;D Chopper Red

Ok Guys. Only 5 more sleeps to tour time. Just thought i would mention i done a deal with Governors Hill Park when i made the bookings. Powered site fees are $27.00 for 2 ppl. I asked for a discount and they said that you should mention the vintage caravan group on arrival and they will give us a 10% discount. $2.70 aint much but it is better than nothing. The park is at 77 Sydney st, Goulburn ph: 02 48217373 There appears to be a few that are heading down on Friday so if you are planning to do that you will have someone to talk to on arrival. I am told there is a good feed and a raffle on at the "Railway Bowling Club"on Friday night ( jeez i knew we would see trains somewhere on the tour) Turn left at the first set of lights you get to after leaving the caravan park heading into town. I think its Grafton st??? Reddo

Hi All, Well the tour just cant come quick enough as far as im concerned.. So need a holiday Since last night, i have broken the leg on the table in the van that i will need to fix on Saturday, and just smashed the rear side window on the van.............. I have been on the phone with not much luck trying to get someone who can replace it. If anyone has any tips of places in Sydney around North Ryde it would be greatly appreciated. Particularly joints that come out on site.. O'brien were useless. Cheers J-Rod

Hi J-rod Oooooooooooooooooooo Bugga. Why not just tape the window with 2" wide duct or masking tape. Do it from both inside and outside so the glass cant fall out. I would have thought obrien glass would have been helpfull. Maybe if you post the dimensions of the window on here someone coming on the tour or at Coledale might be able to bring a spare window with glass already fitted . I have one aluminium framed window with perspex fitted instead of glass. Yours for nix if its the right size. From memory the overall size of the frame is something like 780mm X 560mm I smashed one in the front of the TD the first day i was away heading to wintersun back in june. I had given one to Jailbar juice earlier in the year to give to Pete and Trish in QLD. Turns out it wouldnt fit thier van and was leaning against Dennis's shed when we pulled up there that night. Call it Kharma if ya like... Took about 10 minutes to swap it the next morning, Now stop smashin' the bloody thing up and start packin' Reddo

HI Reddo, I think i said something along the lines of bugga when i smashed it.... Hopefully i can have the same happy ending as you! I managed to find a joint out at Windsor who can do it while i wait. I think they will cut me a new piece and fit it. Will just have to sneak out of work on Friday to get it done. Thanks heaps for your offer, at this stage i should be right with a bit of luck, so will let you know if i am in need of your spare. A piece fell out when i smashed it so it will need replacing before i head off.. Fiingers crossed i don't break anything else before i leave or while on tour! See you Saturday, J-Rod

Yo... tourites and coledites Just had a call from the jailbarjuice crew. they set off in the white Dodge with sunliner in tow to travel to thier daughters place in Kurri near newcastle. They pulled up for a cuppa somewhere and dennis noticed that the towbar had almost snapped off... ... 1/2" of weld still holding it all together. Never mind the scarey stuff at coledale thats enough to frighten anybody They had to unhook the van and leave it where it was, drive back home and press the Hot rod ute into action. They where bringing thier grandaughter Izzy back with them in the dodge and now that they are travelling in the ute that only has room for 2 Sue had to drive her car down behind dennis to Newcastle. A 13 hour day out driving backwards and forwards to get to Newy To make matters worse the clutch in the rod is starting to shudder when reversing and slipping occassionally. So with J-rod smashing a window on his van, Sutcac cooking a regulator in the EH ( last report from him he was sitting on a jetty at Yamba sucking on a bundy rum while trying to catch a fish for tea ), Dennis breaking a towbar on the Dodge... I am starting to seriously wander wether i should leave my back yard and travel anywhere??? Oh ... and i forgot to mention that Koala Ken from Canberra rang to say the old darling that owns Bedervale house rang him to say that we wont be able to inspect the old homestead and barns at Braidwood on sunday. her husband died earlier this week and unfortunately she doesnt feel up to letting us have a look around.... Understandably so I say. So... lets pray for a bit of good weather and no more mechanical or human stuff ups. Me... i am checking my life insurance policy, my roadside NRMA membership currency and packing my saint Christopher patron saint of travellers medallion as well..... hmmmm might even drop by the church and ask for a bit of divine intervention amongst all this bad luck 2 more sleeps ;D Reddo
