Hi Belinda Seems as though your comment flatulence=funny may have confused our American friend . I will let you explain what "flatulence " is.. and then maybe i can come back later and explain why us blokes( Guys) think it equals funny ;D Personally i think there is nothing funny about having to share a confined space like a small caravan with 3 other occupants who have been surviving on camp cooked bake beans for three days. 1 spark and you could blow the whole caravan to pieces Maybe give reference to the "cowboy bean eating" scene from the old "blazing saddles" movie. Even cowboys thought flatulence was funny. east coast tour, vintage caravans, vintage caravans.

A Canberra clique sounds like a great idea (and we'd love to visit). With three boys in the family, a weekend checking out the museums and Questacon is always popular and we generally get down to the ACT at least once a year. We can even drop around to Ridgydidge's place and make encouraging noises about his restoration!
Why not start a new thread and see others would be interested in a Canberra getaway?
When? some time that is not too cold! Where? somewhere inexpensive, unpretentious and kid-friendly. What is the Cotter reserve like these days? or can the locals suggest somewhere similar?
Given the popularity of the pink Propert, maybe the National Museum would let us park the vans together in their carpark during the day?

Hi 2007 East Coast Tourites. Just got an email from the Headland Caravan Park at Ulladulla. They have confirmed my booking for 15 powered sites for Tuesday and Wednesday of the tour. They also mentioned they have 2 ensuite sites. Does anyone need these?? or do i reply and say we just want 17 powered sites. Your call . Will give you until tonight to reply . first 2 replys get them if wanted. To be fair to the management I also have promised them i will go back over this thread and do another "Van count" first week in September and give them exact numbers. So if you havent already put your names on this thread i ask that you do so . Reddo

Thanks for the quick replys fellas. 2 ensuites will be included in my reply to uladulla. We will inform others that The JBJuices and the koalas have their names on the doors of the ensuite sites... not negoitable. I can however ask if there is any spare ensuites sites ( from here on referred to as "palatial accomodation" ;D) left available. Can i ask that anyone intending going on the tour direct thier requests for accomodation other than a powered sites to me in a PM. To be fair to the park management we dont want people double booking on sites or whatever. as far as they know we need 15 powered sites as well as 2 ensuite sites. If push comes to shove i will give up my powered site if they run out of spots to park us. 12v and gas and a walk to the crappers for a coupla nights is cool with me. Good practice for Coledale and kerosine alley. Its all good vintvanimites Munmorah, Wintersun, East coast tour, Coledale, Canberra.... I dont think i will bother turning the key off in Eddy the yoot ( or the 1960 red 2 door thats coming home on monday) for the rest of the year This is what vintage vanning is all about..... Bugger the bloody keyboard banter.. lets get out there , show the world our vans and enjoy each others company in the great Aussie outdoors. extra, extra Reddontsitonyarse.. do it... NOW

OK you guys. I appreciate that the posts on this forum have been thick and fast lately and chippy Daves request for "expressions of interest" in the fishing trip may have been overlooked. This bloke has gone to the effort of making enquiries and tentatively booking a boat for us to get out for a fish. Its a great opportunity to get out from the van scene for the day and have a fish in some of the best sports fishing water in australia.. even if ya do end up throwing up its gunna be a great experience. Can those of you who think this is a good idea please commit to his request for names so we can either confirm the booking or "can "the idea. Hey.. its gotta be better than getting dragged around the shops with SWMBO. Reddo

Ok you guys listen up. I have been quietly chipping away at organising the 2007 east coast tour and i thought i had all the caravan parks on side with paying when we arrive. Well folks the preverbial has hit the fan. We have 17 sites booked at Ulladulla for the 16th and 17th of October. They have just sent me an account for all 17 sites.... $1,060 .00 They require 50% deposit which ammounts to $530 to secure sites by no later than 1/9/2007 Normal powered sites are $60 ( full price) for the 2 nights with 2 ppl. so $30 dep required 2 ensuite sites ( JBJ and .....Koala??? i think was the 2 takers for these ) are $80 for 2 nights 2ppl so $40 deposit required . Now as much as i love ya's all and enjoy organising these tours i can't afford to pay the deposits and chase money. So... heres the plan. Anyone intending to come on the tour should.. Make a cheque for your deposit ammount out . make it payable to "Shoalhaven City Council" and post to 'Ulladulla Tourist Park" South St, Ulladulla 2539 NSW. Include a note to say you are paying a deposit for one of the 17 sites for the vintage van mob tentatively booked by Glenn Redman. earlier this year. I will check with the managers Kevin and Lee Walsh on the 1st of september to see how many we have on the tour. They will not hold the sites past that date. To ensure everyone who intends going gets this message i will repost this post every few weeks , so get hopping and dont leave it on the back burner too long. Lets hope all the other parks are cool with "turn up and Pay" Might pay to check with Kevin or lee before you post your cheque they have"make cheque payable to S.C.C" i take that to mean Shoalhaven City Council" . Phone: 02 44552457 to sort it out. Cheers all Reddo

Yo JBJ Yup Got a Visa debit card years ago. If ya aint got the dosh in your account ya cant spend it. I use it for fuel when travelling etc. Not much use to me in a pub.. cash is good. Anyway as long as everyone that is going pays by 1/9/2007 we should be right. meanwhile i will look into a second card at another institution.... Just gotta make sure i dont carry both cards in the one wallet... then lose it Reddo

Hi I'm back from anger management classes. feeling much better. i promise not get upset or intimidated in the future. Wanna thank "Scootman " for his post . it was what swayed me to sign up. Lifes too short to worry about crap. Nuff said . Been copping letters from caravan parks wanting money for the spring tour. I owe them about $2000. Only way i can get the pms out to those who have expressed interest in going is by signing back up. Will try and negotiate with the park caretakers shortly. I thought i had a sweetheart deal going whereby we pay on arrival providing i told them how many are gunna turn up. deal was i am going to let them know how many no later than 1st of september. I think like the Uladulla letter the letter i recieved from Nellingen was computer generated. Will let you know how i get on. Reddo P.S . pm me if ya wanna yarn

Hi Gang, Anyone know if Coledale is fully booked, or do they still intend to put any overflow at the northern end. Reason being, i recently spoke to a guy who's dad (from Oak Flats) has an FJ and one of the last sunliners built. I think they were at Coledale last year for a look, but without the car/van. If there's still room i'll suggest they come for the weekend, as the son seems keen. Kingy

Calling ALL East Coast Tourites Now is the time to start getting fair dinkum and confirm that you are coming on this years east coast tour leading up to Coledale 2007. I have sorted the Nellingen and Ullludulla parks out with the caretakers and pay on the day is cool with them and the other parks providing I can give them firm numbers by 1/9/2007 ( roughly 5 weeks off) So this request is twofold. In the interests of compiling a list of those going on the tour and also getting a definte number of vans. i would like ALL that intend going to PM me with the following ( trust me the info will be used for good not evil) 1. The proper (not forum) names of those travelling in your car. 2.The make and model and year of manufacture of the towcar 3, Manufacturer, year model and name ( if any ) of your van 4 . A contact phone number ( mobile) that you can be reached on while travelling with us. would also help if you can indicate "All 5 parks" if coming with us from Goulburn to Nellingen to Moruya to Ulludulla to werri beach. If you plan on dropping in or out the tour at any stage then please indicate which parks you WONT BE AT. For obviuos reasons please dont reply to this post on this thread with your personal details . JUST PM ME . I will copy and paste this message into "Reddos Corner" as well. As it is a forum "NO REPLY" post it shouldnt clutter up the forum and is designed as a "Wake up" call for the 15 that have expressed interest in coming on the tour over the past 7 pages. and a final call for those who might be still making up their minds. You will probably see this post repeated once a week up until about August 30th. Lets get this show on the road....... Reddogsbody tour organiser

Ok Listen up all you 2007 east coast tourites ( 6 so far) I had a look at travelmate last night and Werri beach which we have pencilled in as our thursday night stay is only 71Ks from Coledale. Given that Ulladulla( Tues and wed nights) to Werri is only 100Ks i figured we can skip werri on thursday morning and blow straight through to Coledale. total 171ks for the day.... too easy. So I rang Norm at Coledale and checked on our sites being available a day early. The girly checked the 'puter and there is no problems with us rockin in a day early. So ....Just thought i would mention it here and give it a day or 2 before contacting werri and cancelling our sites. just in case someone had any issues /problems with doing that.. Reddo
