Hello my name is Brett. I don't own a van (yet) but i do own a restored fj ute. I have been thinking about getting a small van for the ute for some time now and as i live on the north side of brisbane this would be a good chance to come and meet you guys, check out your vans, cars and get some tips.

Hi Brett,
It'll be good to see you on our get together. Its all pretty casual & easy going, nothing at all organised other than getting to the van park. Anything else happens spontaneously.Anyone is welcome, whether a forum member or not. Its a good time to meet vintage van owners & fellow car fanatics.
The best way to get an idea of whats out there for sale is to talk to the fourum members at an event. We dont know where many of the vans are, but a few get referred to us as we travel & attend events.
Hope to see you there. If you dont make it, say hello when you see us at an event somewhere. My rigs pretty easily spotted.

Hi Pete & Trish, & others.
It'll be great to get more vanners to Bribie.
What you gotta do is contact the park as noted in the earlier posts, & book your site/cabin /whatever .
The previous weekends have been fun, so the more the merrier.
Nobody has to be a forum member to attend, its just that being a member gives a cheap convenient contact method between members using personal messages, which can only be sent & received by members.
See you all in 9 weeks at Bribie

Hi everyone, Just rang to confirm my booking as I wanted to be sure they grouped our booking with others; however was told that they on had taken 'cabin' bookings for that weekend todate and that they didnt know of a 'Vintage Caravan' gathering organized. I booked via email, and confimed on the phone number listed 18000649831 - freebie Do you lot normally stay in cabins? very strange .. it is for the 2 & 3rd March - Fri & Sat; Just checking and thought I betta confirm with you that I had the right place.

Hi dave,
I'm getting confused here. When I spoke to the phone answerer, I was told that there were heaps of sites, but that I had to ring back & pay my deposit about 12th January, as they were busy & couldnt take the time to process a Visa payment there & then.
Do we have the sites? Are they booked under a group as we would like? Does someone have to explain it all to them?
Whats your view.

G'Day Dennis. Happy New Year to you and Sue. I have rang Glenn at Bribie Island Caravan park and our bookings are secure. They are all booked in our own individual names, but we are all still together in one area. Anyone making a new booking should mention that they are with Vintage Vans and they will charge them double (no just joking). They will keep us together as best possible, counting the sleeps. Regards David Dosse

Hi all, We are madly trying to get our van ready for the 2 & 3rd March. It maybe a bit shabby but we don't want to miss the chance to meet you all. We have been to the caravan park this arvo and it is lovely. We have checked out the area we are all booked into and it has good access, clean and nice. We are booked into site 72. There are 2 other sites (23 & 22), still available with the rest of the group but they are exposed to the afternoon sun. Site 71 has got good afternoon shade and is still available. See you all soon! Pete & Trish

Just got to thinking.............Bribie Island is almost exactly halfway....... that is the midpoint.......... er... .er ....equidistant from both the Brisbane and Sunshine coast airports!!!!!!!!! So what ya say? ........... what great oppurtunity for our southern mates to take advantage of this very close proximity to our get together............. and fly in for the weekend!!!!!!!!! I for one( and I'm sure others too) would gladly pick up/ drop off any one who decided to take advantage of the current cheap air fares............. especially out of Newcastle and Sydney It would only mean a couple of us throwing in a few extra eggs ...bacon...tomato....steaks...etc , and thats the tucker taken care of!! In the words of our JBJ............. the moor the merrier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JETSTAR............Newcastle- Brissy VIRGIN.........Syd-Brissy Fri 02/03 Sat 03/03 18;05 - 18:10 $59 8:30 - 8:55 $99 Sat 03/03 Fri 02/03 11:25 - 12:40 $89 8:50 - 8:55 $59 Sunday 04/03 Sunday 04/03 Bris - Newcastle Bris - Melb 18:55 - 21:10 $69 19:20 - 22:40 $165 Bribie Van Park Cabin with ensuite $78 Whatare uzwaitinfor? Hi guys I seems that the Bribie Caravan Park is a no dog zone - no exceptions. Apparantly it is a Caboolture Council directive! So Jack and I will not be able to come for the weekend. Ray

G'Day Ray Its a bit of a shame you can not make the trip, My wife and I were hoping to meet up with you and your new van and Bribie Island is so close to Linville. We love our three dogs but theres no way we would restrain them in a caravan park for a weekend, Just would not be right. Hope you may be able to find someone to look after Jack. Regards David dosse.
