Hi Steve, Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately we don't have all that much information on Chesneys at this point, but there are some photos of a van on the Chesney history thread in the Down History Lane section which has been dated as 1963 - see vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=chat&action=display&thread=2000Does this van look similar to yours? Maybe the serial number gives a clue, eg 264 might mean 'February 1964', or 645 may mean '1964 May'. Is that what you were thinking? If you'd like to join the forum you can then post some photos of your van and people may be able to give you a bit of an idea whether 1964 sounds about right based on the design and fittings. There is information on posting photos at vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=photo&action=display&thread=1176We look forward to hearing more about your van. How long have you had it? Don Ricardo

My parents had the van for a few years, it was in the paper for sale and in poor repair out the back of a shed in kingaroy.
theyve bought a new van and we bought this one from them.
