We have a new addition to the Impala family and a friend for the Sunliner. A Botterill & Fraser, [nicknamed the Land Yacht, because it was built under the name of a boatbuilding company] I needs a bit of work, but it is a very interesting and well built van. And here it is behind the vintage tow car ;D ;D ;D This is the kitchen sink bench, which has had the laminex redone at some stage, and had two taps fitted, we are now looking for an original pump tap to put back in it. The table folds up against the wall, and when it comes down, it has two shelves that go up and down with it, rather quaint. It still has the plate rack, with special cup and glass holders on the door, cutlery draw intact, and the bread box and ice box. This is the storage for presumably shoes in the wardrobe Gotta love the fold down extra bench, that comes out of the front of the wardrobe door. ;D Overall the van is quite solid, all the windows work, and the cupboards are all good, there has been some water damage inside, but its not too bad [we hope] We towed it home which was good. So now looking forward to the resto. Impala

G'day Impala,
Congratulations on your new van. You've got a real classic there and still in its original livery. We look forward to seeing it on some outings in the not too distant future.
Did it come with its annexe? I can see the turn buttons along the roofline.

Hi Don Ricardo, No unfortunately it didnt come with annexe, and most of the turn clips are no good. But we will have one made at some stage. Our goal is to have it ready for Cora Lyn next year Also, if you or anyone has any info on these van, we would appreciated knowing a bit more about the history of them. Impala

G'day Impala, That's a nice looking bit of Australian Touring Heritage .... worth restoring whatever it costs. There is a bit on Botterill & Fraser in the DHL forum and I think I may be able to find a few more advertisements that I will add to that section. Good luck with the restoration. Cobber.
