Time for a further update on Hilda's Progress. After some serious after hours (and some during hours, dont tell the boss!) work to get the Clipper ready for Cora Lynn we made it. Not finished or even registered, took it there on a trade plate, but there anyway. Happy with the interior. Yippee, registered on the Tuesday after Cora Lynn. Would have preferred an old style plate but at least it is legally on the road. The oaf ficials at Vic Roads would not let me register it with the original serial number welded to the drawbar (369) They showed me a printout showing several other "vehicles" with the same chassis no. Even my pleading that mine was issued years before any of the others fell on deaf ears. Had to stamp their 10 digit monstrosity on the draw bar. Two weeks later it went on its maiden camping trip. Off to the Austin 7 Club 2 day mudtrial at Narbethong. On the coldest, wettest, most miserable weekend Victoria has seen all year, even had snow over the Black Spur and on the surrounding hills. And to top it off I was as sick as a dog. Van proved to be very popular and it did not leak a drop of water despite the torrential rain and high winds even though the corner moulds were not sealed and the roof mould was not even on. A few more things to do this week before heading off to Bairnsdale next Friday. After the Cup Weekend away I will take all the temporary bits off it so I can finish it off completely, hopefully before Christmas.

G'day Sportsman1,
Good to see how much progress you've made with Hilda. She's looking great, and the interior has come up very well.
I see you've fitted a hard top and a couple of extra doors to the Vauxhall as well. Funny, I didn't remember it had that much ground clearance... ;D ;D ;D
