Ansair built caravans in conjunction with The Hendy Trailer and Caravan Company of West Melbourne (Victoria) in the early 50's - see hereAnsair also built caravans for Courtney Caravans of South Yarra (Victoria) in the mid 50's - see hereAnsair was orginally a division of Ansett Transport Industries which produced coaches/buses - not aeroplanes - from the 1940's onwards until recently (and possibly continue to do so?). Ansair buses have been used by many metropolitan transport services, but Ansair long distance coaches were used by the Ansett Roadways and Ansett Pioneer coachlines (among others), which were also divisions of Ansett Transport Industries until Pioneer was taken over by Greyhound. The Ansair built coach which many V V'ers will be familiar with is the Flxible Clipper like the one below, which I gather was made in Australia under license from the USA: (Photographer: Xaragama. Source: www.fotothing.com/Xaragma/photo/15beb06c7614d99859b2f5aec742d1a1/)These are pictures of a restored Ansett Roadways "Flxible" coach seen at the new Adelaide Central Bus Station in March 2008. I assume from the registration plate that the coach is a 1947 model. Thanks to Google for this information... ;D ;D ;D Don Ricardo
