Hi guys........just a quick note to say thank you to both boblor (bob & Loretta)& Humpty (peter & Denise) for getting in contact with me and making me feel welcome. Peter & Denise called me up not long after I'd joined and established that my Olympic used to be their Olympic about 7 years ago. Then a fortnight ago Bob Taylor called me up and introduced himself and was wondering if he could come look at my van and maybe shed some light on the history of it. Having read about Bob and his knowledge of these vans I was only too happy to see what he had to say & get his opinions on my van. He was full of handy hints and advise on who to get in contact with and various products to use in the tidy up of the Riviera. So this is a thank you to Bob & Loretta and Peter & Denise, but also a thank you to the wider vintage van community for making me feel welcome in such a short time of membership. And tonyh and ATOG you were mentioned as project advisor's also.Once again thank you and time to get stuck into the Olympic with gusto ...........Coledale is only 12 months away......

Good on Ash Stick around mate . I am sure you will enjoy yourself. At the moment NSW only has Motorfest Canton beach The east coast tour 8-)and.. Coledale as our major events but i am sure things will pick up in the near future and we will see a few other vintage van venues happening. ;D Dont forget the Berry Caravan Rally in March next year. The more old vans at those sort of shows the better i say. Reddo .. just over the road from O.O.T

Greetings Ash And Welcome
Glad to see you have joined the Olympic family..... Maybe some photos of your van sometime when you get a chance?
There are so many vintage vans being done up these days that it isn't hard to find some help with whatever challenge you have.
All the best with your repairs/restoration and if we can help in any way just post a question... I'm sure you will get the "good oil" on what to do
As you would have seen Tonyh and myself are deep into our projects Most of it is a "suck it and see approach" for me but that is part of the joy of doing up a van A steep learning curve and definitely worth the effort
Cheers Atog
