Tennyson Caravan from the 1959 Caravan & Touring Manual   They seem to be very light... most likely single skin construction as indicated by the specifications chart  Sizes over 11 ft. are constructed to the customers requirements. Cobber |

1955 Tennyson caravan advertised on www.caravanclassifieds.com.au sometime prior to August 2008:    According to the advert, the van was 2/3 berth, 10' 6" by 6' 6", 700 kgs, with gas stove, electric fridge and electric brakes. The advert also stated that the external cladding was "Diamond Pattern Aluminium Over Ply". If the van is a 1955 model as stated, it appears that the aluminium cladding was added at a later date. The 1959 price list in Cobber's post above indicates that all Tennyson caravans were still clad in marine ply at that time. A 1960 price list posted by Franklin1 here also confirms that Tennysons were still clad in marine ply. Don Ricardo

Photos of a Tennyson caravan that appeared on the WhitelineTV road transport industry website in November 2017:  The van is identified by the little hood over the front window, its overall shape and the shape of the wheel arch. I've got an idea that the female owner of this van came on to the forum when she was trying to identify it, however we didn't twig that it was a Tennyson at that point. Maybe someone remembers who the owner was? Incidentally the van was used by WhitelineTV in a video to remind caravanners to leave enough space in rest spots for semi-trailers and B-doubles to manoeuvre - a good reminder for us all.
