Mothers day falls on the first Sunday after a FULL week.......but it appears nobody cares anyway. I won't be there.

I was just wondering why the nationals did not go over the weekend as well, so people who can not get time off can still come for the weekend only... Mother's day is on Sunday, so leave on monday or tuesday instead. It's only one day... I'm a mum i don't see the problem...

Good question Mr and Mrs Fairlane......I think some would be staying for the weekend too, I guess others will take the week off work and use the weekend to get home? As for mothers day, I guess I will be loosing a brownie point . Personally, I reckon mums deserve a lot more than one mothers day per year anyway.....otherwise, do as I will and try to talk mum into going Cheers, Gristy

One word may make some people understand my position on this..... 'De Molay'.

Fair enough Humpty.....and yes DeMolay is one word. Hope you didn't take my comment the wrong way......I (as I am oft guilty of) express my opinion only. I do, however, intend to talk mum and dad into going. We all have our reasons in life...similarly I missed Coledale, which was unavoidale, dissapointing, but unavoidable. Hope you can find a way to be there for some of it, karaoke wont be the same without elvis Unfortunately, no matter when events are planned for, someone will always miss out...sad fact of life. Cheers, Gristy

Getting a bit off Vint vans nats topic here but... To clarify "DeMolay"..... has seven Cardinal Virtues, which are the soul structure of what they follow. Those Cardinal Virtues are: Love between a parent and child (Filial Love) Reverence for sacred things Courtesy Comradeship Fidelity Cleanness Patriotism An aspiring member would be referred to as a "petitioner" or "Prospect". DeMolay is open for membership to young men between the ages of 13 to 21
