Hi all I can't find the previous thread regarding VV insurance, however I mentioned previously I was at a historic vehicle rally in Sep 07, and approached a Shannon's rep for a quote to insure my '59 van (have 2 historic vehicles insured already). Anyway, a fortnight ago, the existing policy turned up, so rang Shannon's re quote (11 mths old). After talking old cars/vans for 10 mins, and what cars etc. his parents had/hadn't owned in the last 50 yrs, the job was done, with the premium being 1/2 what I was already paying. Perhaps more luck, than good judgement, but I was extremely happy with the outcome. Cheers Steve

Hi Urkel
The thread is on page 2 in General " Insurance for home made vans "
Read my post about what I was told by Shannons, & make up your own mind
A policy that doesnt cover the useage of the van as accomodation is virtually worthless, no matter how cheap it is.
