Hello Olympic Family! We have acquired our second Olympic Riviera. Owned a similar model for 30 years and foolishly sold it. Our original was an ex hire van for Barnes Bros in Rockhampton Qld. Bought it in 1970 and it was then 18 months old. Layout suited us as we had 2 very young children and the Riviera had double bunks in the rear. The current Riviera is a later model (we think around 1975??) but very sad. No double bunks this time, singles only. Beds and seats have fibreglass frames not ply as in the first model. The windows have HUGE problems. None of the winders work and are seized and several plastic slider locks are broken or missing. Handy husband has drilled out the rivets holding the extending arms so we could at least close the windows properly. Now comes the help needed - does anyone know if we can buy replacement sliding locks. Our local caravan retailer/parts shop only has a type that would need a lot of modification and are not cheap at 4.95 each. The same are available on line at 2.95 each. The dust seal rubbers? are RS so need to replace those as well. Anyone with any suggestions?? This site is very addictive - when I get on the hours slip by. Olympicagain

Greetings and Welcome Olympicagain ;D ;D
Is there any chance of a few photos of the offending bits?
that might give us literary challenged people something else to go on...

Hi olympicagain Welcome back to the Olympic family, we look forward to adding your details on our Olympic register at some time, -- currently about 180 vans. Your windows, it sounds like you may have to replace the winders, locks, I have found these are the most difficult window to maintain including the flyscreens. Feel free to give us a call if you think we can help, 0428 850 666. Cheers boblor
