The following ad is from the.... australian automobile trade journal 1/9/1937 A J Healing radio claim to have the first radio demonstration research caravan to be built in australia the demonstration-research caravan will cover all victorian suburban and country areas the ad said......... it is drawn ( not towed ) by a car of the same colouring as it self f/f ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

That is interesting Geoff, Obviously purpose built for the job but would not have been hard to convert to a “touring caravan” ... or was it a modified “touring caravan” ?. I notice the “lantern roof” is similar to the one on Ol' 36... no glass panels just ventilation holes. Also notice it has the two little roller wheels at the rear similar to those fitted to “Don” caravans at that time, did "Don" build it for them ( sorry (I think not) about the reference to “Don”... wasn't meant to upset anybody ) Cobber.

funny, I sit here in a café having breakfast in Perth browsing the forum looking at the latest radio technology from healing on a phone! how things have changed. its all very well for Healing,but where is the ice chest, bed/table and metho stove? cheers chris
