Thanks for that DR, much appreciated.
This one appears to be a 1953 or 54 build.
Note it has 2 small doors in the LH side. Harriets 'lipless' Clipper, now owned by Gerrynshaz, had a small door in the same position at the front (this was removed during a previous rebuild) but I have never seen a Clipper with a door in the rear position. Not sure if they are original or not but as it appears to have been repainted at some time in the past they may have been added then.
It has now been sold, hopefully to a suitable new owner. I trust we will hear from them in the future so we can get some more details, chassis number, photos, etc.

Photos of a possible Clipper tandem caravan listed on Gumtree in November 2017 and posted on behalf of Sportsman1:According to the Gumtree listing, the van is 26 ft long and has two entrance doors. We can see one in the photos, so the other must be on the other side. Comment by Sportsman1 on 22 November 2017 in response to a suggestion that the van may be a South Australian Clipper:Mr Ricardo - I agree. Based on the lips front and back, the shape of the wheel arch and the profile shape of both the front and rear I would certainly say it is a Clipper. The windows I can see dont appear to be original, it is probably a 1954 or 55. Not much else in the photos that would tell us any more but would be interesting to have a look at it...

Hey SGTL, no - or should I say - not yet? ?? By the way I obviously got the pictures working, must have been just a glitch. I tried again after I saw Geoff's post.

Thanks for putting the pics up DR, much appreciated.
As you say probably 1959 - 61 build.
Great to see pictures of a good original interior which can now be used for a more accurate guide to colors, fittings, etc.
It appears to have been repainted externally, I trust the original is under the current paint.
Hopefully it will go to a good home and will resurface here in the future.
Leigh.

Clipper Caravans. This advertisment from the “Caravan & Touring Manual" of 1959 shows two of the “Clipper” caravans... one built in S.A. The other built in N.S.W. The N.S.W. One was only available as the “Consul” model in a length of 9'6” The S.A. “Clipper” came in six different models in a length of either 12ft or 15ft priced from £585 to £785 The 12ft “Cadet” model could be had with either Bondwood or Aluminium exterior cladding and likewise for the 15ft “Commodore” model. There was also a “Contemporary” model at 15'6” and a “Tandem” model at 15ft... both in Bondwood. I have just purchased a 15 foot Clipper Cadet, it is wrapped in Masonite not ply. Single window at the front and rear with timber window frames in all windows. It has the original ice box and spirits cooker and original water pump above the sink. It also has two port holes, one on the left and one on the right at the front of the van, the only other wood Clipper i have seen with a port hole is Leighs Clipper. I will ask Don R if he would be kind enough to post the photo's of it. I am trailering it home tomorrow while Mrs OldFarts is shopping, this van might see me in the divorce courts. !! Cheers. Dave.

Young Dave - you are back - how excitement!!!!!
And with a 15ft Clipper Cadet, at last another "small" Clipper has emerged. Looking forward to seeing pictures, and hopefully being able to travel again so we can come and visit and check it out in the wood.
Hilda A Clipper was also clad in masonite originally, still has the original panel on the back.
Cheers, Leigh.

Gday Leigh, yes mate, he's back...
The Clipper Cadet i bought was started by the gentleman i purchased it off, but for reasons, he hasnt the time to finish her. She isnt pretty, but i can see past her condition and see the old love finished.
I am about to make room in my cave so i can park her next to the 1952 van and then clean her out and have a good close look at her.
She sat at Naracoorte here in SA in a shed from new, I bought a home just out of Mount Gambier almost 4 years ago, so now she sits with my 1937 van, 1952 van and the 1928 van Reddo found then sold to FF then Reddo bought it back from Mrs FF and i bought it off Reddo 4 years ago.
When i get a moment to scratch my self, I will send Don R photo's of the Cadet.
Cheers mate.
Dave.

Hey Dave, not much to do there, it looks almost half done. 1954 build I reckon.
Simca is interesting too, especially with the custom plates - Really Smart Simca, or is it Really Stuffed Simca, or possibly Really Shi - I better stop now.
