G'day everyone, Quick few lines to paint the picture..... Last year my partner received an inheritance from her late grandmother. Part of which was a 13ft Regal caravan. The caravan was purchased new by them from Noel's Regal in Springvale around 74 or 75. The were both very active members of the RACV caravan club I believe and took their Regal all over the place right up until 2014. Between 2014 and 2022, the van was garaged at their Springvale home and now resides in Ballarat with my partner and I. The van is in original condition and has been very well cared for its entire life. Prior to it being towed to Ballarat, the tyres, brakes, lights and tow hitch were replaced. A RWC done and new plates and registration issued. As I have come to learn when reading over the information and knowledge stored here as well as the classic forum, etc. identity issues are not that uncommon. On the registration papers it now shows the old plates as the new chassis number. Its listed as 1900 Regal Caravan and has no special conditions. I also have the registration papers from 2014 which show a chassis number of 0948755. Chassis number is now K54674. On drawbar I can only see N-4 * * 7 as there is a bracket welded to the chassis rail which covers part of the VIN. My main question is based on what I know above and the links I've hopefully embeded correctly, are there any red flags that I should be looking at prior to giving her a spruce up next year? Thanks, Jason

Hi and welcome Jason, Just in case you didn’t know,Noel’s Regal sourced vans from Evernew in Melbourne and staff spent hours sanding off rough edges, installing Holland blinds and curtains, plate and cup racks etc to make their vans a more “exclusive” product. Unfortunately Evernew has been taken over a few years ago and I believe they don’t know anything about their older models. Nice van btw.😉 Cheers hughdeany

Morning Hughdeany,
Thank you very much. Narrowing down the OEM relationship was fun and did lead to Evernew. After calling them I got the same impression too.
I have only turned my attention to the van recently and began researching the industry and where it she came from. I had no idea that by making the right amount of taps on the keyboard plus many well-timed clicks on the mouse, I would arrive here and find the direction, information.....and obsession I need for my project! All the knowledge, experience, time and passion that has been put into creating and maintaining such an amazing resource to draw from is inspiring. Hopefully my dual trade background (mechanic & auto electrican) will allow me to pay it back and contribute in the future.
Cheers,
Jason
