I am in the process of registering my Carapark. I did a tare weight ticket and spoke with the safety certificate man last night. He can't come to my place due to road closures from heavy rain. He said my coupling has to be rated abd stamped accordingly. It is the original approximately 1958 coupling. I doubt it would have been stamped back then? I wanted to keep it as original as possible but it looks like I will have to replace the coupling.

G'day 1948, It is a pain when they want you to replace an original perfectly good tow coupling because it doesn't have a few numbers stamped on it with a letters & numbers punch that you can buy at Bunnings 😉😉 The forum does have a tow coupling thread the index of which you can see HEREhave a look at the couple of Carapark links and tell us if your one is similar, if so it already has the makers brand name on it, all it needs is its max capacity, around 40CWT.
