I recently transferred our caravan into our name. It is a 1973 Viscount (or earlier) so no compliance plate.

Whilst at Vicroads, I asked what is the A.T.M.? They could tell me the Tare and Gross but not the A.T.M. How can can Vicroads fine you for being overweight, if they don't know what the A.T.M. weight is themselves?

A sad response from the people who should be in the know. ATM is Aggregate Trailer Mass. Put simply it's the total weight of trailer plus contents including water. If you google the term you will get the full answer
