G’day everyone! Merry Christmas and hope everyone is well and safe
I’ve recently picked up a vintage Franklin Regent. It is pretty old and run down. The chassis doesn’t look too well. I just wanted a second opinion whether it is worthwhile resorting it. Or would i be better off looking for another one in a fairer condition…..
I will attach photos as soon as i figure out how.

Big van for a single, I imagine somewhat different. There have been larger restos performed here, but personally I wouldn't, there are easier projects around, if you wait, for a classic type van. I did a Viscount similar to this, over 1000 hours recorded & a cost of $10K for parts. linkAt the end of the day with this van in top condition, what is its true retail? Good Hunting. Mustang

Hi OP. Miracles have been performed on greater basket-cases than this one. As Mustang infers, it's not a mere "cut and paste" job and the cost blowout may well exceed any estimates you may have in your head. In the building trade, they say "measure twice and cut once". With caravan restorations, it's "think twice before you act" but always at the risk of still being wrong!!
