I have just purchased a new tow car. As I now have 3 vintage caravans I have had to get a car that can tow my vans. As my vans are all Australian you have to get a Holden. This baby is a EK and has a 173 motor and a HR disc brake front end. I have had it for over 2 weeks now and drive it everyday. I still have the PT Cruiser and will still tow Diner 2 ( My Castle caravan) but thought this is a better and more better option. This shot was taken at this weekends Adelaide Rock n' roll Festival Car cruise.

Hey Retro Somewhere back in the cobwebs i remember seeing a photo of this car on this site. i think it was Veedubnuts photo of the two pale blue beetles parked side by side. off to the right of the picture there is a blue wagon. somewhere in Victoria i think???. I will have a scratch around "tow cars" and try and confirm what my cobwebs are telling me. Congratulations mate . you've scored a good car no matter what the price. Just wait till MrFJ55 Maurie spots your post. i have been told i have to sell the pale green FB wagon to pay back the bank loan for the FJ van. I am making half hearted attempts at selling it to keep the cook off my back. hopefully she will come to her senses and lemme keep the wagon. Anyway mate welcome to the unofficial eccentric holden owners club. Reddo - Holdens and bondies Rool , OK!!!!

EEEEK EEEEK We're being over-run with EK's Is Mr GMH clearing out his garage or something??? ;D Despite that it IS an EK, I HAVE to admit it's a very fine and beautiful example of one, and I'm sure you'll be a proud owner for many years. Congrats Retro!! Ray

I see all that and then..... to bring myself back to a level of deep inner peace, I go and look at my FORD XP Fairmont Stataion wagon. I feel better now!

The EK already has a tow bar on it which is a 50mm and my 1957 Castle caravan has a coupling to suit. The 1959 Convair caravan has the bigger coupling and I'll have to change it over to the 50mm. The stripe on the Convair will be painted to match the EK. As for the other van I'm redoing I'll have to think about that one a little longer.

Hi Humpty Ah , elamentry my dear Watson!!!. Once again you have solved the riddle. One might also notice the suspect hanging with the two VW criminals in the Volkys files is wearing a black and yellow NSW number plate and no sunvisor.
Mr Retro1s client is wearing a South Australian number plate ( although this may have been changed to create an "alias"once he fled interstate) also he is wearing the baseball cap style sunvisor well down over his windscreen to cover his face.
The jury has reached thier verdict your honour!!! . Mr Retro is not guilty of purchasing an interstate vehicle.... Case dismissed.
Well Sherlock, another fruitfull day in court . I,m off to the "Cock and Balls" Hotel for a Gin and Tonic , care to join me??? Oh Watson , I am sure that will take the starch out of that stiff upper lip !!!
