Well i searched through my photos and finally found a decent picture of our "tow car". It is a 1947 Chevrolet pick up on a HQ holden chassis, with a 327 small block, power glide transmission. We have driven over 80,000 miles since getting it registered back in 1992. We were living in Cairns when i built it and the first trip was to Adelaide to the hot rod nationals. Since then we have been everywhere from the Daintree River in FNQ to Gawler in SA and all points in between, we even called in on Dennis aka Jailbarjuice on the way back from Adelaide. We will be towing our vintage van to Esk this weekend and if time permits to Fingal the following weekend. ( see "that ebay gem" )

Who's calling who an old fart? ;D ;D I seem to remember you have more grey hair than me ;D ;D. but seroiusly that would be a great photo, dennis. I got our van registered last friday and finally got to take it for a spin today. Here in Qld if a van/trailer weighs less than 750kgs it does not need to get a RWC We have done just enough to get it on the road ie new 12v electrics and tyres. We are off to Esk this weekend for a rod run and if all goes well we will be at Fingal, cheers!
