Hi Kenny, First one looks like a Valiant, Second looks like a home made bondwood, Third looks like a Sandrover, but it could be the angle of the hill it’s parked on making the roof look much rounder than it actually is,and I can’t see a logo.. Cheers hughdeany

Do you think the third photo above (the mystery photo) could be a Murrumba Star? To the amateur its has some characteristics of this guy: HI Kenny, You may be right that the two caravans you referred to are from the same manufacturer, but neither are Murrumba Stars. One of the features of the Murrumba Stars throughout their production is that they didn’t have external wheel arches. Both of these vans do. Don Ricardo

I have three more to ponder. These ones are all tucked away and hard to see, hope you've been eating your onions! Thanks in advance regards kenny: Kennys picks Top - Viscount? Middle - Home made? Bottom - Millard?

Hi Kenny, We'll see what Hughdeany says, but: 1. Don't think it's a Viscount by what I can see of the shape. More likely a Franklin, or even a Greythorne. 2. No, not home made, just bondwood sides with aluminium back and (presumably) front. The van is facing front in which seems to be a common Brisbane trait! 3. Don't think it's a Millard based on the shape of the front and the beginning of signage which looks like it might start with 'C'? (PS can you please ask your photographer to retake the photo with the full name plate showing? That would be great. ) Don Ricardo

Just because the bricks in the fence are laid down the slope of the hill, doesn't mean the van in the middle will be home made too. Surf Tragic

hahah, Don, I'll call him on one of the many Red 20c Pay Phones that I see in other photos! Thank you all for your contributions, this is excellent being able to name so many, and then when done, anyone will be able to enter the name of a caravan and all those searched for will come up! Here are three more!

Hi Kenny, I agree with SGTL, Franklin, Viscount, And the last is a 1969 Chesney camper that looks like it’s been re clad in later aluminium but kept the fibreglass roof. Cheers hughdeany

Thank you all for your comments, we're about 33% the way through! Here are three more to contemplate. I'm going suburb by suburb, interestingly, there are a couple of campers in the same general area! Regards kenny

Hi Kenny, They’re getting harder! Top is a 50 s bondwood,no idea if home or factory built, the closeness to the house makes the rear end hard to decipher, Middle is a Franklin Caravelle, about 1965-67 Bottom is another 59 s bondwood. Cheers hughdeany

Cheers hughdeany I know, i know, The good news is, if the caravan is just too far away, I don't bother. The bad news is, there are nice photos that are obvious and don't need checking Millard, Olympic, Viscount, Chesney, Franklin etc. Its going to be a nice searchable database when complete! Thanks for your continued support! Regards kenny
