How do I remove the hubcaps from a Don without damaging the paint on the wheel?Did the factory provide any tools apart from the jack handle?

Hi Elfrieda, Welcome to the forum. That’s an interesting question. I’m not aware of any tools being provided for their vans by Don, apart from the nadle for the jockey wheel and the brace for the corner stabilisers. However, it may depend on the model. I remove the hubcaps from our Don by prising them off with a medium size screwdriver. You should be able to push the screwdriver a little way between the wheel and the hubcap and then gently lever the cap off a little at a time. You do risk scratching the paint a little, but it doesn’t show when the hubcap is back on. I’m interested to hear about your Don and would love to hear more about it. Do you know what model it is? Some photos would be great too. There are instructions on how to post photos if you click here. There are a few forum members who have an interest in Don caravans, so always good to have someone join the crew. Don Ricardo

Hi again Elfrieda, Looking at your last post, I am wondering if you're trying to work out how to post photos on the forum? If you're having trouble, you're welcome to email me some photos of your van and I'll happily post them for you. My email is caravanhistory@gmail.com Don Ricardo
