My rods engine has over 11:1 compression,
So how do you even start it with such high compression. 24 volt battery?

;D ;D Yes Dennis is quite right - the white pipes are our version of exhaust guards that we must run for our rego scheme. they keep people off the real pipes and trick nearly everyone on first sight,, its amazing what the eye does not see with the first look.. Dennis you are also right about keeping the motor,, a 292 y block bored to 304 was also in the 34 Chev coupe but the guy in victoria that bought the coupe wanted a chev/chev combination so Darren got to keep his pride and joy.. He also found some 'G' heads for it at Toowoomba swap (from a thunderbird and rare as rocking horse do do) and has had them done up - just wait till you hear it!! awesome! For all those holden guys the 292 is a customline motor from 1954. So with the 'G' heads on it I have been calling it Darrens G spot hotrod... to each their own eh? he's hoping this doesn't catch on... LOL!! Deb

Hey jailbar & Deb
I was into the hot rod scene in the 70,s. Apprentices wages prevented me ever getting my ' 28 A "C cab" 289w Auto with Cusso rearend on the road.
Do you know what happened to a rod called "Sedoupe" last seen in a caryard here in Newcastle late seventies early eighties.
Debs rod reminded me of it.
Reddo - Went to most of HR Nats at Narranderra NSW in XY 351 ute.

Hi guys, I am sure the male 'Cahill's' would know of the Sedoupe.. My father in law has been in hot rodding since he was 16, (long time ago!!sorry Rod) and I have heard them speak about it. The rod was certainly well received by all - well almost all - and Darren was asked for a feature article in the Australian Street Rodding magazine. so he is chuffed. I had a great time, all except for the rain and five people in a sunliner with no annex!! It was surprisingly warm but I found we had a bit of condensation happening by morning. Maybe we need some insulation.. what do you reckon? Deb

Hey Deb insulation might not be the answer to the condensation problem.. 5 in a sunliner = Orgy !!! Heavy breathing could be the issue here. - Just had 4 days on vintage bikes at valla park - coffs harbour. rained saturday night ( no leaks in Just Croozn) had 4 glorous days out riding. Reddo - NSW 32 "V" QLD 22 - go the blues.

One of those 5 bar oil column heaters is the go (in cool weather) others find that leaving 2 windows open works..........gotta cuddle up to keep warm though!!...no need for me to repeat the score is there????yes there is NSW32 Qld 22
