Hi Leefraser, Welcome to the forum, and thanks for telling us about your Franklin. From the sound of it, it may be a bit too modern for us to know much about it - we tend to be stuck in the 60's or much, much earlier : D: D - but you never know! If you can post some photos of your van we'll see what we can work out for you. There are instructions on how to post photos in the 'Forum Guidelines & Helpful Hints' section. The easiest way is to to use the 'Add Attachment' button, but I see you are posting from your mobile, so have a look at the instructions on using 'Add Attachment' and note that there is an extra step for mobile users. In addition, if you can tell us the welded serial number, that may tell us something about the year of your van too. Don Ricardo

Hi Leefraser, Sorry you're having trouble with the photos. Because you're using a mobile phone you need to scroll down to the bottom of the screen when you have the 'Create Post' window open and press 'Desktop' which then give you all the options, including 'Add Attachment'. But no matter, the serial number of Y136 sounds correct. The commencing letter indicates the year of manufacture, and in this case 'Y' tells us your van was built in 1977. The numerals tell us that it was the 136th caravan built by Franklin that year, so I would guess that means it was built pretty close to the beginning of the year. Doug Thorley was a caravan dealer who put his own stickers and brand name of 'Executive Styleline Deluxe' on every caravan he sold. You can read more about that here. So that means that at some point your caravan went through Doug Thorley's yard as a second hand van. Hope that helps? Don Ricardo
