THE BIG EVENT! Steve and Sharon will be visiting from England, and staying in 'Millie' their caravan.
Everyone welcome to catch up on old times, or for those of you who don't know them, to make new friends who are also mad keen on Vintage Caravans. (I hear they have a lovely big house for when you visit England! ) I have only listed 4 nights, but they might be there 1 day earlier and stay 1 day longer, all depends how long it takes to prep the van after being in storage over 2 years, and if all goes well.
Come for as long or little as you can, we have the whole Showgrounds to ourselves as a Vintage Van Club (The Vintage Touring Club - they only take Club bookings). Dog on leash friendly. Lovely picturesque setting, walk to town, shops, eateries - the pub is reported to be good, and is walking distance. Only a few minutes drive to Byron Bay. Saturday morning is Farmer's Market in town. I am told the amenities are vintage, but so are we!
Post here if you are up for it and arrival date and how long, please DON'T ring the Showgrounds as we have a group booking, they don't take single bookings. $25/night per couple for powered site - Caravan ENTRY is via Market Street. (if you have given dates that you are going on another site, no need to duplicate)
PS: BIG BIG BIG thank you to Cathie and Rob for helping organize this, and for storing Steve and Sharon's van safely for over 2 years, and for towing it to and from Bangalow for them - you are both stars!
2 more sleeps! Sharon and Steve have arrived safely in the land of Oz, are prepping their van now and will be there Thursday morning as planned. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. If you haven't put your name down, it is not too late, as there is plenty of room.
