Hi, I'm restoring a 1967 14' Franklin Caravalle - it has the two original interior lights at either end, but the one over the dinette has a smashed glass lens. Keen to find a replacement as the rest of the light works!

Is it the rectangular, white/milk glass type? I have one for $20 + post. Like this?

Brilliant - that is exactly it!
How can we organise this? Happy to pay for the lens and postage.

Hi Caravelle 67, I recently inherited a 60' Franklin Caravelle and started the process of restoration too. Ours was parked on a property in the bush, exposed to the elements. Lots of dry rot. Big project....
2 questions:
1. Have you had to replace the rubbers around the windows? If yes, where can I find these? Most rubbers are cracked and not sealing properly anymore... 2. The doorframe has been cut and bent, do you know where I could get this?
Thanks! Tanja

HI Tanya! Good luck with your Caravelle! For the rubbers - are you meaning the ones that seal the glass inside the frames, or the ones on the frames itself that seal things up when you shut the windows? Mine are mostly in good shape, but we've been using the caravan on our bush block for the last 4 years and haven't towed it anywhere, so I will be looking more closely at it once I start to do the serious work on it. I also have an Airstream caravan we imported from the US (long story), and I had bought a lot of seals for that before I brought it across - some of which I've used on the Caravelle in places from: www.vintagetrailersupply.com/window-gaskets-s/26.htm , and I've also picked some up at Clark Rubber: www.clarkrubber.com.au/rubber/extrusions . For the doorframe.....no....but I'll have a closer look at mine tomorrow and see if I have any ideas. Good luck!
