Hi Wildy There is three main types of annexe fixings. Threre is a "Turnbuckle style" that has little stainless or plastic lugs screwed about 12' apart along the roof of the van. annexe edge has little oval shaped eyelettes in it . that fit over the studs and then you turn the tag to hold them on. second is what is known as a "marconni track" which mounts to the roof off the van and is made of brass. looks like a monorail . or cross section shaoed like a tee. the annexe had brass"C ; sections sewn to it and yo feed these over the T shaped track. i have this set up on "Matilda " and its a slow p[ainfull provcess to put the annexe up. really is a 2 person job .. and half a dozen stunbbies when finished. third is the later model design called "sail track." the annexe has a rope sewn into ythe edge and there is a C section that run along the roof of the van. simplest of the lot but did not appear on Vans until about the mid 60s. If its just the walls ya wanna replace get a local upholsterer to sew velcro along the inside adge of the annexe roof and on top of your side walls. Time to go home ?? Just tear 'em off and pack up Hope this helps\ Reddo

We had the marconi track fittings on our annexe (kindly donated by Will) swapped to sailtrack by Carlton Canvas in Sydney who did the job quickly, easily and economically.
They cut off the strip of marconi clips, sewed on modern sailtrack edging and at the same time did a lot of miscellaneous repairs - ties and tags, missing eyelets, little holes etc. They could also supply the aluminium sailtrack for going on the van and Reddo posted fantastic instructions for fitting it.
We've been using the annexe for a year now and are really happy with sailtrack. The strip on the van is really inconspicuous, it is easy to put the annexe on and off the van (certainly easier than feeding marconi clips on one at a time) and the load is spread evenly along the adge, not concentrated at points every 30cm or so.

They both have the marconni track system on them just that the millard had a smaller t section on the roof of the van and the Murrumba Star has a bigger one the easy thing would probaly the easy way but the van dosen't leak and i am worried that if i do that it will start a leak so I thought that it would be safer are to do some thing with the clips on the cavas. Belinda would you know where That Carlton Canvas Are or their Phone No Thanks Wildmanaus

Carlton Canvas are at Carlton!
337 Princes Hwy, Carlton (about 1km South of the St George Leagues Club and on the other side of the road) ph 9587 0208 fax 9588 1050
If you are in the area I'd also drop in at Caravan Accessories which is only five minutes away: 33 Rocky Point Road, Kogarah (in the phone book under "Camec") phone 9588 4463
I know you are worried about leaks if you swap the marconi track for sailtrack, but I'd still investigate whether it can be done. Just picture yourself and the missus struggling with those clips on a wet and windy night! Speaking as someone's missus, I can vouch for the fact that sailtrack is sooo much easier.
If the new track goes directly on top of where the old one was and has a layer of silastic between the track and the van you should be OK.
