Hi guys i have a 1962 bondwood van bought from the original owners daughter who had repainted it in hose paint an roller which i have painstaking removed my question is when i removed the alloy trims from the corner edges around roof/walls , the sealer has was cloth tape and a soft wax substance what is this ? Is it still available? Or is there a newer product that is better? Regards brett

Hi Brett, it's called petrolatum tape. Most commonly marketed as Denso Tape. There's some listed on eBay and can also be purchased at Blackwoods and plumber's suppliers. Petrolatum is a non drying non setting paste made from a base is petroleum jelly and other products. Has been around for a long time

Thanks for that info its a great product my 56 year old van has never seen a drop of water in it" probably also a result of the builder too any tips oo tricks on the application? Regards brett
