Ok - I know most of you restore and renovate but when you do using the old wiring would be unwise and to be safe and secure for your families it is best to use modern wiring standards - old switches etc if safe to use. The site here has articles on solar and other electrical matters such as generators and batteries. Colyn Rivers also sells manuals and I bought two of them and haven't regretted it. He's based in north WA so may be known to some people over there. www.caravanandmotorhomebooks.com/ I have copies of "Motorhome Electrics" and "Solar That Really Works". My shipwirght mate's brother in law found a flexible solar panel blown off a van on the side of the road. He's going to weld two wires on to it and give it to me. Puts out 2.4amps per hour and comes at the right price. Hey, the 50s are cool but greenhouse is real and if I can avoid a generator......
