IMPORTANT NOTICE - VIEWING PHOTOS ON THE FORUMSome of the photos posted in the Down History Lane section and elsewhere on the forum have currently been replaced by a Photobucket notice. (Photobucket is a photo storage website which has been used to post photos by forum members for more than twelve years.). IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE that the images have NOT been removed, and are still viewable. They are still hosted on Photobucket, and you can actually load them by:
- Right-clicking on them and selecting “open image in new tab” or “open link in new tab” or "view image" depending on the web browser that you are using. This opens the Photobucket website where the original image is stored.
- Right-click on the photo (Photobucket notice) again, after which the photo will display (in most cases).
The forum administrators are working to replace as many of the photos affected as possible, because they represent a significant part of the forum, and an important social history resource. However, this will take some time to accomplish. We are also checking out which of the available photo storage websites will provide a suitable alternative to Photobucket. Don Ricardo
