Hi.I was wondering if anyone can help me.After two years of searching for a van I gave up and bought myself a modern caravan only to find the day after I puchased it a friend had a 1964 caravan in top condition sitting in her back yard that she wanted to get rid of.It is in fantastic condition and 100% original. As it has been sitting under the trees for 12 years(which I have to remove to get the van out)the curtains and cushions are all mouldy.Does anyone know where I can purchase material(have been cruising op shops and garage sales with no luck)Cheers

Why not try plain fabric with contrasting piping and buttons? It's an easy way of getting an original look with modern materials.
If you look at the interior photos of our van ("Belinda and Roberts Pride and Joy") almost all of our cushions were OK, but we had to get an upholsterer to match two of the smaller ones.
The big problem with new cushions is that they are light and tend to fly around a bit inside the van during both travel and use. The old ones were made of horse hair and inner springs and weigh a ton. OK, they stay put on a long trip but making up the beds is a real pain. There is a thread somewhere with a string of solutions to the "flying cushion" problem.
As for curtains, I managed to find two big curtains in a box and cut them down to make six little ones for the van.
