Hi Everyone, here is a picture of my 1964 AWA Radiola Eight, due to this radio's age it only has an AM band which is great for listening to the footy
Many of these radio's are sitting everywhere not working due to the fact that they take the big old 9v batterys which you cannot buy as the 2 prongs need to be inserted inside the battery So to fire one of these up i cut the old connector off and solder on a new snap on 9v connector and modern small 9v battery. The benefits of this radio is it can also be plugged into 240v powerpoint with the big old original 9v adapter as shown in picture. This is one small cool portable transistor.
Thanks for the "tech tip" on powering up those trannies Dave.............I have three of 'em and they were just ornaments......... till your tip!!!!
