G’day JB, Although I have absolutely...absolutely no intention of fitting a TV antenna to my 1936 caravan...or even onto “Driftwood”, although TV came to Australia about the same time she was made, I was tempted to look at that site chippydave01 referred you to. It is a classic eh? I don’t think people who write like that deliberately intend to make us laugh but you should look at www.weaselwords.com.au/index3.htm to see some great examples of unintended humour. The “education and Training” and the “Government” sections of the Forum, as you would expect, offer some of the best examples. Sorry....a bit off topic maybe, but you did provoke me Cobber.

Jailbarjuice - Strange name, but each to their own I was at the Brisbane Caravan etc show last month and picked up a PVC aerial whilst there. Will post the details when I'm at home, but it consists of a 25mm white PVC tube that you fit on the van and has two vanes at the top. TV works excellent. What I liked about it is that you can simply take off and fold up in its tube.

HI JBJ I have an aerial similar to what pcc is talking about, with a booster. It apparently only DOESN"T work in two places in Oz, one is in the Kimberleys the other is Yarraman!!!! I bought it especially when I had one of those modern poptops!!!! (aaaagggghhh - wash my mouth out) I though pcc might stand for politically correct critter ;D ;D ;D ;D Cheers Ray

JBJ................. You seem to have got hold of the wrong end of the stick regards your call name. No issue on my part - simply curious mate Obviously a bad day on your part - hoping you was not too upset or otherwise annoyed. Anyway - my reason for contributing to this thread was to offer advice (whether good, bad or indifferent ) The mob I bought my aerial off was Foldaway Antenna at Buderim in QLD. You can catch them at www.foldawayantenna.com.auGood luck Oh Ray - Being politically correct is not me. I agree with JBJ here as I don't give a stuff anyway - you just need to look at my weekend driver to see why
