Hi guy's and ladies, well the time has come to say goodbye to my 9' 3" bondwood van i inheritted from my grandparents. I was on here a few years ago trying to get info on the van and the general guess on brand is a gypsy although it hasno front or rear windows. i am open to reasonable offers as i really dont know what it is worth. Located Kempsey, NSW. 2440. you can message me on here or sms or call luke on 0457112877

Hi Matches, Interesting to see the photos of your little van again. Seeing them has sent me back to my files searching for it's identity once more. I'm pretty sure it's not a Gypsy Gem for a number of reasons: (1) It doesn't have a front window unlike the Gypsy Gem, (2) the side windows are the wrong shape for a Gypsy (square and not rectangular), and (3) the wheel arches are the wrong shape for a Gypsy. In addition the Gypsy Gems were only 9 ft long. I'm wondering if in fact it is a Luxory Baby? The Luxory Baby doesn't have a rear window, and appears not to have a front window either, the side windows are square, the wheel arch is the right shape (although a little higher than yours), and was advertised as being 9 ft 4 in long (close to 9 ft 3 in). You can see a picture of a Baby here. The photo of the Baby has been taken from a different angle to the photos of your van, which makes it a little hard to compare. But I would be interested what you think if you stand behind your van at the same place as the photographer who took the photos of the Baby and compare the two. Let me know what you reckon. looking at pics of the luxory and carapark i would definately say luxory, the roof vent on the carapark is too far back and the windows are larger than mine.

Sure looks like a Luxory.I think the reason why the wheel arch looks higher in Matches pics is that its missing the strip of timber below the rear of wheel. As mentioned these `vans would later end up being hired out which might explain the #5 plate top left of door opening. What were the brackets front towards top edge & tall bracket above window used for/as? Was the painted picture & name on door done by Matches grandfather or was it done by other to represent 'fun times at the beach' or such like? Cute van though.

the #5 plate is the old rego sticker. the brackets i asume were for an awning/ annex ect. on this van the section missing behind the wheel was a piece of thin plate aluminium. the painting on the door was on the van before my pop bought the van. looking around the $1000-$1500 mark
