G'day aussieute, Your coupling seems to be similar to the "Locktite" coupling used on John Walsh caravans. See this post in the "Old Tow Couplings" thread. The main difference with yours is the flat section on the top of the main coupling body, so it may not be an actual Locktite version. Can you see any evidence of a Patent number stamped on the side of the ball holder, usually where the pin is hammered through the spring-loaded shaft? cheers, Al.

You are only missing the handle/latch, Any chance of fabricating a new one or removing the one off the purchased new one (remove the C Pin), and either Drill/Shim the handle to suit the old Coupling and alter the spring loaded lock mechanism to suit.
Unless there is wear/Broken Part on the old coupling, a Strip down and clean/grease the original should be serviceable.

The center shaft is very badly cratered and would need a new one to be machined I am hoping to find another if only it was only the handle thanks chris
