We've found another accessory for the pink and white van - a pink ladies bike to go on the front (courtesy of my sister-in-law's council cleanup). On our retro holiday to Kiama back in January a pushie would have been handy for quick trips into town.
There is a suitable-loooking Fiamma bike rack on the Caravan Accessories website, but we thought we'd also ask the advice of the rest of the forum.
Has anyone got any advice about mounting a bike rack on the A-frame? or experience travelling with bike(s) on a rack?

Ho, Ho, Ho... Vvvvvveeeeerrrryyyy Funny Col thats the last time i'll go fire wood huntin in the Toyota while you'se lot lay around the camp suckin beer and talkin S#it about ya fancy hotrods. Didnt see too many of them loaded up with wood? Gunna volunteer to take that flash ute of yours up the scrub next time. bowl a few trees over with the front bar and fill the back up with 4 tonne of redgum. That should test ya flash ford out mate. Sorry about stealing your thread here Belinda , but i gotta keep those bloody mexicans from dumping it on us New South Welshmen. I am glad i didnt have a pushy at Morgan. I could have done some damage to myself on the steep downhill run back from the pub at 2.30am in the morning on a pushbike. BAC of approx 10%. all sense of balance , coordination and direction gone. Toyota now lives in Melbourne somewhere. Reddonlycyclopswilldo

Belinda The only problem for the bike, is the chain and sprockets get filled with dust, so you'll need a good cover to prevent that. How long is the drawbar on your van, because mounting a bike on the drawbar restricts the turning ability of the rig, but if it's long enough it's better mounted there then on the rear. Greg

Our draw bar isn't long, but we reckon that if the handlbars are turned 90 degrees and we take corners carefully it should be possible to fit one bike on the front of the van.
