I am thinking of taking "Marilyn's" 4 windows and door surround (which are solid timber) to a paint removal company. Have started to do one of the windows by hand ( see photo below) using paint stripper but wondered whether taking it to a paint removal company will be better and quicker of course They charge about $20 per window. I have used this particular company before years ago Cheers Kathryn

Hi Kath
Have a look in the text just above your message . in dark blue print you will see... "Easy strip".... safe lead paint removal".... biodegradable strippers.
Sometimes the answer to your problems may be staring you right in the face.
$20 a window seems cheap enough . But why shell out the $$ when you are perfectly capable of doing it yourself. dont be in a rush . it is a slow job but you will get there eventually.

Hi We took the 4 timber windows and door surround to the paint strippers today. They are charging $12.50 per window and $25 per door surround.
We thought we would try it so hopefully will work out ok Cheers Kathryn
