Hi, I finally finished sanding my van back. I want to waterproof it. I read on the site that a product called Gripset RD is a good product. Question 1: If you ever need to get it off (repairs etc) is it really hard to get off.?Does it dry hard or sort of tacky/soft to the touch?. Question 2: Do you use a roller or brush?' Question 3: Where do ya get it ?. Question 4: It says that you can only paint over it in acrylic paint and not enamel. What are the pros and cons of either method. Question 5: What is the best waterproofing method for enamel paints. ? Last Question: If you apply the Gripset RD the earlier post said to undercoat with gripset GP first. Do you then just paint straight onto the Gripset RD.?. Many thanks Kev.

Hi Kev.
Like jailbar said ,an acrylic waterproofer looks OK but an enamel finish looks 10 times better. To do the job properly with enamel paint, the bare timber should be sealed then a light canvas ( I usually use un bleached calico.) is then painted into the roof area and then given 2 coats of silvasheen enamel to finish it. If you have any questions just ask.
Cheers. Trodler.
