Hi All here is a photo of the wheel and hubs fitted to the van i have just bought. Almost certain the rims are ford pilot 16". They are bolted to an adaptor plate which fits the five hole stud pattern. what is the inner stud pattern??? Much bigger than the normal 13" Holden or ford pattern.!!! Cheers Reddo

Reddo
It looks like a rim from a car that has been used for a caravan.
Hope that helps. ;D ;D

Hey reddo, They look like 38/39 f0rd rims with an adaptor back to the earlier bolt pattern from model A (1928) thru to 1948. They had 1/2 inch studs which measure 3 1/4 inches between studs. This is the same bolt patern as F100, Suzuki 4WD, Lada Niva, Holden Drover 4WD. Does it have hydraulic or cable brakes? If they are hydrualic they are 39 Ford, first year for hydraulics, or Ford Pilot. Hope this helps, Cheers, Santa 28a.

Hi fellas. Just measured up the hub 83mm or 3 1/4" between stud centres. Radius from centre of hub to stud centre is 80mm or 3 1/8" Rim stud centres 153mm or 6" with 5 studs. Rim width is 110mm or 4 3/8". If santa is right about f100 , jeep ,suzuki i should be able to scrounge a rim off one of the locals to check the pattern is right. If i can get 15" rims i will go with them . Gunna have to be standard rims though there is not much clearance between tyre and body. It has cable brakes. Thanks for everybodys input... especially you earlee your input has proved invaluable Reddonuts

Hi Col and kris
Thanks very much for the rim and tyres deal. Money transferred this morning to your account. They pick up at Ringwood Thursday and deliver to Wickham which is only 20 minutes from here. Maybe Friday , could be early next week
Once again this site has proved what a great bunch of people subscribe to it. A wealth of knowledge and it seems a great resource for tracking down those not so common van and car parts.
Thanks everyone for your input. I will keep hunting locally for 3 rims and tyres with F100, jeep, Suzuki stud pattern. I need these to bolt on when i tow the van with the FJ which is fitted with 14"X 8"mags on the back
i know suzuki make a 15" rim . Hopefully get the van down lower using these rims with low profile 15" tyres.
Thought about using 2" lowering blocks with the 16" wheels but this would leave me with only 1" clearance between tyre and van mudgaurd.
Just ordered a hayman reece solid towball from ISP ($63) to replace the original Attwater 2 5/16" cast iron "ball and bolt " towball with 5/8" bolt ( scarey stuff). Could have bought a complete new 50mm overide coupling for $102 but didn't. i figure why mess with the old coupling if it is workin just fine.

Thanks J.B. (God,Sir) & Reddo (God, Sir) Ever since this forum started I have had “free to a good home” listed. It’s had 647 lookers...and no takers. I am beginning to think it is too cheap. Prefect/Anglia wheels you say, they have to be worth $50 each to somebody who needs ‘em. Axle and hubs have to be worth $300 on ebay. A good vintage chassis with vintage over-ride brakes must be worth $400. Good plywood sides to use as a pattern I will chuck in for $50. One good rear indicator light, say...$20. The “free to a good home” offer is here-by withdrawn. Eight hundred bucks as a special offer to members of this site should see it go, what do you reckon, or do you think I should try for a bit more By the way...the Vanguard is no longer included.,.she went to the scrap metal blokes. Any advice from up on high will be cherished. Cobber.

Hi Cobber I hope you where on your knees when ya sent me n the other god this message. We demand a bit of respect now that we are in our senior years. "God" who in the hel# at proboards thought up that title. If i keep posting to 1000 will i become "Devil" I know what you mean about trying different sales philosophys . Its worth nothing until someone needs the bits then all of a sudden its worth a mint. Try and give it away and people are suspicious. Bung something ridiculous on it and you might get lucky. Pity the wheels where anglia and not Pilot i might have come down there with the hot axe and scavanged a few bits. Then relieved you of everything in your fridge and come home. Run it on eBay with a $1 start and see what happens. Only gunna cost you a few bucks. Go on ... i will start the bidding.... Go on ... betcha dont....Go on Cheeky bugger aren't I ;D ;D ;D Redgodamn Seargant Dan ( Forest Gump )
