Hi Cobber, Yes, as soon as I saw the photo, I thought you would be interested in it. Marjie2 too. I think it's the best photo we have of a Windmill back in its own era. One thing I noticed is - if I'm not mistaken - the hatch opens the opposite way to the one on Marjie2's Windmill, but otherwise it seems to be a dead ringer. I'll re-post the photo to the Windmill thread, but I thought I'd start by just asking the two (actually three) of you whether you recognised anything. I've got another surprise coming up for you too, by the way... Don Ricardo

Hi Cobber,
Sorry for taking so long to posting my surprise. Yesterday turned out to be busier than I expected, and I didn't get back to my desk.
I realise that I may also have raised your hopes that I had found out something about Ol' 36. Unfortunately that's not the case, but I have found out something about a manufacturer that you have done quite a bit of research on. So check out my post on the Brindle thread. Quite exciting I think!

Hi Cobber, I realise that I may also have raised your hopes that I had found out something about Ol' 36. Unfortunately that's not the case, Don Ricardo Well yes I have always felt that if anybody was going to find information regarding who built Ol '36... OR Driftwood... OR the war surplus van it would be you, and I haven't given up on you yet so keep digging, you are finding all sorts of incredible information. Cobber.
