Hi SGTL, Satellite caravan? That's a quite a good and original looking caravan isn't it? A bit of water damage, but wouldn't it be great if one of the forum members picked it up as a project. I can find any reference to a Satellite caravan, either in terms of a brand name or a model name. You would think that 'Satellite' would have been a bit of an 'out there' (sorry about the pun) name for a 50's caravan - more of a 60's name after Sputnik, etc? I tried googling 'satellite caravan' but only came up with references to satellite dishes for 'RV's' and satellite TV. According to the advert it was "towed from Victoria", so there's a reasonable chance it was Victorian-built... I wonder if anyone else can help us with more info? Don Ricardo

Ok, saw this post. I've seen a satellite van. It's owned by a guy in the infamous car club. (Mark Taylor wanted to start a WA Chapter, the club we talked about when you stayed at our place) the club is from around Great Western, Vic. I am pretty sure these vans were built in Stawell Vic , as per discussions with the owner. Will keep you posted next time I catch up with him. Cheers Les
