Well I now have my baby safely at home and started to take photos and work out a plan for her. First things first I am going to repair/repaint exterior, replace floor (some water damage so its a bit squishy) and put the couch/bed back in. These are the big jobs. So first question :- Does anyone know if I can get technical drawings for the bed/couch? The guy I bought her off mentioned the mechanism failed? so I am assuming that she had some sort of catch/spring/lever that made the couch pull out and become a bed. Exterior - there are some patches as per the pictures I am fine to just strip/seal and repaint her but if possible would like to replace the patches with original aluminium in the diamond pattern. I have looked on the boards and noticed some links to some companies (especially Rimex) but hoped that there was some more information to be had - especially relating to having the original aluminium pattern produced or if it was available pre made. Does anyone have any hints on straightening out the wrinkles? Thanks in advance!!! Attachment Deleted

Adele, The fold -out couch is often called a click-clack couch . Not sure if this is what was there. Other Baravan owners will know. Not sure on the mechanism but they are at Freedom furniture etc . If you need a whole new one may be one of these may suit ...but be prepared to take a window out to fit it in Cheers Murray

ick a whole window... OK I'm gonna head to freedom during the week. I was sure that there was something to hold it all together so thanks Murray. Hey does anyone know the guy who posted on the Baravan thread who was a visitor but whose dad owned the business? Is it easy to get in touch with him?
I have pm-ed Cobber who originally posted the thread - his name was Bruceb, so hopefully he cant be too hard to track down. An email would be great!

G'day adele, bruceb is, I think, still involved in the caravan industry in WA, we met him during the 10th anniversary tour in WA but his contact details I don't have. Mark T, or one of the other WA fellas will be along soon with that info so....... just hang in there Apart from the Baravan thread in DHL you did find this thread didn't you ? Sorry I can't be more useful Cobber.
