Attachment DeletedIt is with much regret that I have to sell my work in progress, Gertie. Gertie is a 1960 Jomi caravan imported from Germany. She must have been imported by her original owners as her door is on the "wrong" side. Gertie is far from perfect. When I purchased her she had some rotten pieces due to being caught in a flood. I have since commenced renovations and have installed the new laminate frame at one end and have reconstructed the interior seats at the same end. She now requires recladding at that end, before tackling the other end. Her interior is in very tidy original condition and the only thing that is missing inside is a corner piece to hold the mirror in place. On the exterior everything is there, but she is missing one of her Mercedes hubcaps. Sadly Gertie is far from road worthy so she would need a car trailer for removal. She is a real cutie and has loads of potential. To take on Gertie, you would need to put in some hard work. She is also the only one of her kind that I have been able to find in Australia so I would like her to go to someone who is able to restore her to her former glory. Please message me and I will send you more photos and measurements. She is currently located in Greenock, Barossa Valley, South Australia.

I should have added that Gertie has all her cabinetry, Bakelite type sink etc complete. The only interior items she requires are cushions, stove, curtains etc. She even comes with her original kero fridge. She is very cute!

Gertie is soon to be an orphan Due to a change in personal circumstances and an imminent house move, my beloved wee girl Gertie is desperately seeking a new and loving owner. Some of the hard work has already been done but there is still quite a bit to do. Please message me if you have any interest at all in her. I am willing to negotiate a very cheap price for this little German girl. She does appear to be one of a kind in Australia so deserves a bit of TLC.

Gertie is still for sale and looking for a loving owner.
I am happy to consider any offers, as I purchased her very cheaply and would just like to recoup some of my costs if possible.
So, please make me an offer......I certainly will consider it!! I would rather she went to someone for a cheaper price if they will lovingly restore her.

what a shame you have to sell - alas with 4 cars, two trailers and a van on one suburban block, there is no room at this inn ...

Hi Willow, if I remember rightly, I might have met you at a couple of caravanning events (Clipsal & Tanunda)? Such a shame that there is no room at your inn, because I know you would have been the perfect people to take Gertie on.
Well, please spread the word. All offers considered!
I am probably not shifting house until the new year, so there is still time to for Gertie to be relocated.

Gertie is still up for sale. Whilst I have had a few people interested, she hasn't been sold yet. I really need to have her moved by 25th February. So if you are at all interested, she is listed on ebay. Just search for:vintage caravan.

Is there anyone who could deliver gertie to me at Campbelltown Sydney? If so, I would be willing to buy her and love her. Back to full health. I am doing a vw up for her and together they will make a nice pair. Any suggestions of removals? Blessings suzie

Hi All Gertie is still for sale! She has managed to stay in-situ for a bit longer, but I really need to get her moved. I have had her on ebay and whilst, she has had bids, each sale has fallen through due to non-payers......one in SA (who never even saw her) and two interstate. Why people bid on items that they are not serious about buying is very frustrating!! Anyway, she will be reposted on ebay again this weekend. Please share and help me find her a new home. The price has been lowered to $250. Thanks
