Nimbin Agricultural Show is on Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 September. The Showground is in a pretty location just down the back of Nimbin. Sadly, a few of the iconic shops were burnt down the other night but there's still heaps to see in colourful Nimbin! No doubt the shops will be re-built in the future as Nimbin has a totally involved community. If anyone else is interested in camping on Friday & Saturday nights, let me know. We will go whether there's 2 vans or 10 vans. Cost is $10/ person/night & includes entry to the Show. Philip the caretaker will get back to me re details about power as it may or may not be available due to power needs of sideshow alley. It's dog friendly. www.nimbinshowsociety.org.au/smiles

Hey GREAT Kimbo!
Did you see that there's Heavy Horse comps at the Show?
Yeah I don't think there will be any Sookie Pooh La La going on! But hey we can manage I'm sure!
Long as we don't get too laidback by the passive 'smoking' around the town.
Cathie

I must admit I haven't been on the forum for a while. I am in charge of the pavilion at the Nimbin Show and while I was setting it up today it was mentioned that there were some vintage caravans coming to the show. No one on the show committee knew we have a couple of vans!
I will try and convince my husband who s currently away for work but flys back tomorrow to bring Mildred down so we can join you.
It's a small show with a nice country feel to it. Costa from Gardening Australa will be there Sat afternoon at our sustainability display and here is a bush dance on Sat evening. The dog high jump is a not to be missed event on Sunday morning.
Thank you for your participation, look forward to catching up

Hi all
Well what a great event you all missed!!!
I've already booked in for next Year's Ag Show!
There was just 3 of us there with our vans, Boblor, Rob & myself but Graham & Kim called in Saturday & Lorraine & Andy brought their fab combi ute & matching Mildred van along.
Great little miniature Show with everything there such as chooks, dogs, horses, cattle, pavillion with veges, crafts, jams etc within arms reach of our site which was next to showers, toilets, power. So quiet at night with lovely people happy & polite about looking at vans. Philip, the Show President couldn't do enough for us, including free entry.

Hi Cathie I look forward to being a part of this events again next year (if god lets me). A great set we had, in the middle of the action, but far enough away not to be disturbed. So I encouage others to put this event on your calendar for next year for a great social event. Cheers boblor

Good to see you had a great time. We have done a few of the country shows and it is good entertainment as well as being looked after by the locals. We would like to get there next time once we get our old cars sorted. We have broken down on the last couple of trips and it takes the fun out of it. Next weekend we are taking our boring but reliable modern car.

Hi jondi, Can so relate to cars breaking down and spoiling your day. ;-Many a time the rod and caravan came home on the Tilt tray. Boring modern cars can still let you down but give me one any day. Boots
