Hi everyone, I've got a mini glen that I plan on using for shows this year. Problem being is that it has an imperial tow hitch. Where can I get an imperial tow ball from? Or can be hitch be changed easily?

Gday Miniman. Why change the hitch? No doubt its original so change the tow ball on your tow vehicle to suit the hitch making sure there`s not too much slack (the hitch bobbing up/down on the ball).Simple. cheers gordon

G'day Miniman86, Tell us, are you and this Thomson Mini Glen living here in Oz ? A very rare and unique little van if that is the case. What year model is it, I ask because I read in the specifications for the 1967 model it had a 50mm coupling fitted to an over-ride brake arrangement, has yours been altered at some time ? I can't imagine how they managed to fit a 'toilet room' in a van 8' 6'' in length .... quite an achievement Cobber.

I'm actually in England, I didn't realise this was an Australian website! Haha!! I'm not sure on the year of the glen, but I think it's a 70s one! I've tried a 50mm tow ball and it doesn't fit. So I'm sure it's imperial, but can't find an imperial ball here for love nor money, which I'm surprised about! Would be nice to have the van done by the end of the month (I'm going to tow it behind my Austin mini!)

G'day Alex, If you put your question to the people on this UK old caravan site I reckon they will be able to sort you out. The Mini Glen sounds like an interesting little van and I get the impression there are not many of the earlier ones about, even in the UK. Good luck with it Cobber.

Cheers cobber, I will give that site a try! I think I'll stick around here too, if that's okay with you guys? I'll put pics of her up when she's finished!
