Hi all, I have a 1966 Rinai two burner stove with the griller underneath. I am going to give it a bit of a clean-up which will include wire brushing the cast iron 'supports' which hold pots etc above the flame and also the burners. Something long lasting which won't burn off too quickly? Can anyone please advise what type of paint I can use after I have cleaned them up. Regards, Bob

hi bob i think the only way to truly guarantee that the paint will last under the high temperatures is to have the supports baked enamelled . that could be a bit expensive and another option "might" be to prime and paint them using automotive exhaust enamel. satin finish - www.vhtpaint.com/products/flameproof/gloss finish - www.zircotec.com/page/--liquid-black/151not sure - www.stovebright.com.au/paintpowder.htmthese enamels are designed for extremely high temperatures, often above "red heat". if you choose the second option, make sure you follow the instructions on the tin otherwise the paint will crack or burn off in use. geoff 'n jude
