Gday Boomer,
Apologies - only just found your post!!
Yes - we added extra length & 'meat' to the draw bar. Should assist with maneuverability. Doing it again, i'd probably go a tad longer again, to add a decent size box. Correct though, got to cut down on weight somewhere.!
As for the windows, I purchased my Lexan type product from a local supplier. Its really light & cuts very easily & is around 3mm thick. Be careful, it seems to scratch really easy too. Even cleaning with out scratching seems to be an issue. I went for the plain stuff - no tint.
I reckon i'll go back to proper glass in the future, simply because I don't like the scratching.!
Regards,
T.

Hi Thomas, that's looking fantastic. I wonder if you could tell me what trim you used around your door frame please? I've just started on a '73 Ambassador and I think the original plastic frame might be near impossible to source and my original one shattered when I took it off. Cheers Shelley

Tough one....
Mine is metal, but you should be able to locate something suitable as a replacement.
If you can't find plastic, might be worth while getting some metal trims folded up.
