Herewith is a shot of Cruisersnoozer’s 1938 “Sportsman” teardrop, in storage at this point and yet to be restored. Jim, and anybody else who has been to Kevin Wilde’s “caravan museum” will recognise the exact same van amongst his collection.

Hello all, I believe this could be a postwar Sportsman, as far as I have been able to find out prewar vans had turn type door handles and the word Sportsman was hand painted on the side whereas post war ones had push button type door handles and a cast Sportsman badge fitted. I would welcome any and all correspondence re Sportsmans. I have had my Prewar? back on the road for 5 years and have been to Perth, Newcastle, Adelaide etc with it. I tow it behind a 1927 Vauxhall sedan or a 1953 Vauxhall Vagabond.
