Dear SGTL
I have enjoyed seeing V2 progress, it gives me hope.
In your reply 31 your picture shows a window seal getting put in on the outer edge of the frame. My seals are all hard and need repacing.
Can you tell me what that seal was called, what profile was it or where you got it? Even if you could email me a picture of it, my email is rex.campbell@ccca.org.au

Hi Rex, mmm, part with a viscount badge? mmmm, nope. Unless you're talking really big dollars. ;D I'll bet there is someone could make one for you out there somewhere though. Re window rubbers, you need to bookmark this page; vintagecaravans.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technicalstuffboard&action=display&thread=5310Forum member TonyH made a die for his Sunliner & they are the closest match to the viscount. If you contact him via email, he will send you a sample to try. Flooring is very difficult. I did get some large squares off ebay & I also have a roll of commercial stuff that we may use in sons Franklin. If you are in melb. You should have no trouble getting close to what you want. Although they don't make the small asbestos! squares any more. Tail lights- probably best to source some vintage car ones that you like the style of. I have a pair of Vanguard? ones if you are interested but they'd be a fair bit of mucking around to fit. & finally, if you start a thread exclusively about your van, then you won't get lost trying to find all the answers to your questions & we can enjoy watching your progress Cheers, SGTL

Hi She's got the Look Love V2 and what you are doing with her. I have one very similar which is supposedly a 1958 however I am not sure. Chassis number is N1164. The previous owner was only the second owner and original owner was definite of year. The identical number is also pencilled under the cutlery drawer. I Thought you may be able to shed some light on this with your chassis number. I will attempt to add a few pics later today. Thanks so much.

G'day jcole, Your chassis number of N1164 will be from the 1962/63 time period. You can compare your van with these other Viscounts: Chassis number N925: Unusual Viscount in Carseldine, QldChassis number N1047: Our 1959 Viscount Classic (...and which is not a 1959 model) Chassis number N1055: anglia46 new vanChassis number N1379: owned by forum member donald80, but I don't think there are any photos on the forum for it. I took these two photos at the 2012 Nationals at Cowra... You can read other info about identifying early Viscount vans here: Viscount build date helpps. Sorry for clogging up your thread, sgtl. cheers, Al.

Thanks so much to you to Al ( Franklin1) Your help and advice is also greatly appreciated. Mine is almost identical on exterior to chassis no N1055 ( anglia46 new van thread) you gave. One unusual feature I found was the hubcaps are Plymouth and quite deep. Trying to sort photos to upload now. Thanks again

Went to check on the progress of Veronicas new awning today. Should be ready in time for Echuca, (unlike the Dodge which I am getting a tad upset about) re chromed hubcaps upholstery

Been very slack as far as updates on Veronica are concerned! So here's a nice photo of her at the local mechanics
