Hi everyone. I have just purchased a pop up caravan and have a done a bit of a search on the brand but can find very little on them. There is a very faded name on the rear "MALETRAIL CUSTOM" All i can find is they were built in Murray Bridge, S.A and can only find two others for sale on the web at the moment.. Anyone know anything of the history of Mailtrail..? Been after a van for a while as I work all over country Vic doing bridge maintenance and staying in motels and cabins does get expensive. Just wanted a van that was not too fancy...( ticks that box..) with room to sit back and relax with a beer of a night.. Here is a link, not sure how long the link will be live... I paid $5000. Happy with that. Thanks Dave

Hi, Maletrail were vans built for Kevin Male who was a local van dealer here in Murray Bridge for years.
He currently has a business at 30 Randall Street Mannum SA but only sells second hand vans these days as well as van hire. His number is (08) 8569 1149. I'm sure he would only be too happy to tell you about Maletrails. Cheers Brian

Spelling of Maletrail correctedIt's a while since Kasdave enquired about Maletrail caravans, and Crown115 was able to provide some information for him at the time. However, there is a reference to the Male family and their involvement in the South Australian caravan industry in a Caravan World article posted on the Rowvan thread here. Don Ricardo

We have a 1978 Maletrail we have been using for 5 years. It is a solid van that tows well but it is time to update and clean up a few rough edges. This is our Easter setup on Lake Bonney at Barmera, SA.
